Vandalism Suspect Arrested

Ventura County Sheriff's Department Christian Calderon of Moorpark was arrested for multiple misdemeanor and felony vandalisms on Saturday, October 2. Early Saturday morning, officers received a call of a subject vandalizing the Moorpark High School marquee with a paint pen. When the officers arrived the suspect was gone. Officers contacted witnesses in the vicinity who provided a detailed description of the suspect. The suspect, Calderon, was located parked in the parking lot of the Tierra Rejada Park by members of the Special Enforcement Unit (SEU). During the investigation and interviews of Calderon, officers were able to link Calderon to other previously reported vandalisms in the Moorpark area. Calderon was also determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance. He was booked at the Venura County Jail for three counts of vandalism and for being under the influence.
