Vehicle Into a Power Pole

 Ventura County Sheriff's Department On June 7, 2012, a Nissan pick-up truck traveling northbound in the 2300 block of Moorpark Road struck another vehicle at the intersection of Moorpark Road and Avenida De Los Flores. After the initial collision, the pick-up truck continued up the dirt embankment on the east side of Moorpark Road. It came to rest after shearing off a power pole. The two occupants sustained serious injuries and were transported to Los Robles Hospital for treatment. The driver was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival. Although it appears that speed is a contributing factor, the cause of the collision is under investigation by the Thousand Oaks Police Department Traffic Bureau.
