5A. Oath of Office and Presentation of Certificates of Election
The City Clerk will administer the oath of office to Councilmember Steve Conaway, Councilmember
Jamey Brooks, Councilmember Gayle Washburn, City Clerk Clay Westling and City Treasurer
Norma Gutierrez. New council members will now take their seats. The council will determine the
seating order. Pursuant to Government Code 36801, the City Council will choose a mayor and mayor
pro-tem.
5B. Recognitions of Outgoing City Officials: Mayor Pro-tem M. Cecilia Cuevas,
Councilmember Scott Lee and City Clerk Shirley Spitler will be honored for their service to
the City. A brief recess for a reception in the lobby will follow.
