Sandy Everhart entered into eternal life on August 30, 2010, peacefully at her home in Santa Paula.
She was born October 19, 1942 in Elmhurst, Illinois, and moved to California in 1959 with her family.
Sandy moved to Ventura County in the early 1970’s, where she able to fulfill her dream of living in the county and having horses. She passed her love of horses on to her daughter, Stacy. Sandy took pride in her garden and was happiest when spending time with her family and friends.
Throughout the years she was a member of SCSA, Fillmore Women’s Service Club and the Santa Paula Lions Club.
Sandy worked for the Santa Paula School District for 30 years. After retirement she wanted to do the Lords work and became employed at the First Presbyterian Church in Santa Paula, were she was the office manager, faithful deacon and a bright light to whoever crossed her path. She will be remembered for her smiling face and helping hand to those she met.
Sandy was strong in her faith, always had a positive outlook and enjoyed living her life to the fullest.
She is survived by her daughter, Stacy (Everhart) Patterson of Sacramento; brother Burt Edwards and wife Irene of Whittier; sisters Laurie Wirtjes and her husband Kenny of Covina, Connie Griffiths and her husband Cliff of Santa Paula and Robin Kittle and her husband Craig of Bakersfield; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who she loved and adored very much.
A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held Saturday September 11, 2010, 11:00 A.M. at the First Presbyterian Church, 121 Davis St, Santa Paula.
Memorial donations may be made in honor of Sandy to the Deacons Fund at the First Presbyterian Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, Ventura.
