This is the time and place to address the Board. D. CLOSED SESSION
The Board of Education will meet from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. to consider matters appropriate for Closed Session in accordance with Government Code §§ 3549.1, 54956.7 through 54957.7 and Education Code § 35146. If the Board does not complete Closed Session discussions at this time, the Board may adjourn to Closed Session at the end of the regular meeting.

1. Expulsion Case Number 13-14-04 Superintendent’s Transition Labor/Negotiations (Government Code § 54957.6)
o Update; Direction to District Negotiators (Dr. Alan Nishino, Michael Johnson, Todd Schieferle, Margaret Chidester) for negotiations with the Fillmore Unified Teachers Association (FUTA), the California School Employees Association (CSEA), Confidential Employees, and District Administration Personnel Matters (Government Code § 54957)

8. Approve Date and Time of the Annual Organizational Meeting
The date and time of the Annual Organizational Meeting (AOM) is to occur during the 15-day period that begins on the first Friday in December. The date and time of the Annual Organizational Meeting must be selected by the Board no later than at its regular meeting held immediately prior to the first day of the 15 day-period. However, the Board has discretionary authority to set the date and time of this meeting at any prior regular meeting as well. The AOM is to be held on December 17, 2012 at 6:30 p.m.
9. Approve Amendments to the Fillmore Unified School District 501 and Fillmore Unified School District 502 Section 125 Flexible Benefit Plans with American Fidelity Assurance Company
Amending plans to update plan year and employer contribution amounts, and to comply with new legislation.
10. Accept Proposition 39 General Obligation Bonds June 30, 2012 and June 30, 2013 Performance Audits
Section 1(b)(3)(C) of Article XIIIA of the California Constitution requires the District to conduct an annual independent performance audit to ensure that the proceeds of the bonds deposited into the Bond Building Fund have been expended only for the authorized bond projects.
11. Approve the First Interim Report through October 31, 2013 Including Amendments to the 2013-2014 Budget
The Education Code requires school districts to submit Interim Financial Reports each Fiscal Year. The First Interim Report covers the period July 1 – October 31.
