Bingo will be held on the “Second” and “Fourth” Friday of the Month, from 6:30 to 9:00 pm. So get ready and bring your friends, to the Fillmore Senior Center located at 330 Central Avenue, Suite C! Parking is “free” in the back and after 6:00 pm in front.

HICAP, One Stop Shops September 15 at 11:30 – 1:00 pm The Ventura County Area Agency on aging Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) is preparing for the upcoming ONE STOP SHOPS for Medicare Part D Changes, Medicare Advantage, Medigaps and Benefits Enrollment (BEC) Information. Monday’s 8:00 Senior walk, they meet in the back of the building and walk around the town.
8:50 Tai Chi, taught by Dan Roadcap a Chinese martial art made up of a series movements, one transitioning smoothly onto the next. The integrated movements improve balance, increase lower body strength and promotes strong bones. Slow continuous relaxed and repetitive movement enhances flexibility
10:30 Senior Chair Exercise, this exciting twice a week class is designed for Seniors 55 plus. It will address a whole range of issues common to seniors such as: Increasing muscle strength, endurance and energy for each day; decreasing the risk of falls and improving tone strength; improving your diabetes control and improving your thyroid pressure. Class is Monday and Friday 10:30 – 11:30
Tuesday’s Gourd Class 9:00 – 12 ( 1st & 2rd Tuesdays of the month) has just started making the “Thunder
Gourds” for Halloween, the class will continue on the September 13 of instead of the 20th.
Book Club 10:00 ( 3rd Tuesday of the month, this month only) The book to be re-discussed “Dead
Wake” The book looks at the sinking of Lusitania during World War I and the events surrounding the sinking.
This would be a great book to read and discuss. Walk-ins are always welcome
Wednesday’s 9:00 Busy hands, Knitting or Crochet taught by Donna Volker
10:30 Line dancing : come casual or get into your western gear, just come and have a good time.

Thursday’s Sketching and Watercolor Class taught by Virginia Neuman, This class will resume on Thursday
Mornings at 10:15 AM. Here at the Fillmore Senior Center. Located at 330 Central, Suite C. Virginia
takes her students through the basics of drawing and painting, including shading, perspective, composition
and color theory, while teaching skills of observation. This is an excellent class for anyone that would like
to learn to draw or paint. Walk-ins are always welcome. The Class is only a $3.00 Donation Per person
