Federal and State Income Taxes, For Seniors & Low income. Every Tuesdays at the Fillmore Senior Center, through April 10th. Starting at 9AM the last client will be at 12:00. This is first come first served. (No Appointments) Please remember to bring your copy of the 2010 tax return and your Social Security card. Other items to bring are: Your W-2 Form, if you were employed; also any Federal and State Tax forms you may receive in the mail. You might want to bring a book or you can watch TV while waiting for your turn. Call the center if this day is inconvenient, we have a list of alternative locations & times available 524-4533
The Alzheimer’s Association is offering the “The Savvy Caregive Program” for Non-Professional Caregivers (you or me, children taking care of parents or grandparents, family members taking care of a family member or friend) this will consist of 3 Thursday’s March 15th., 22nd. & 29th. From 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon. It’s an educational training program for families caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias. Non-professional caregivers will acquire skills and knowledge of dementia, handling difficult situations and managing behavior. Attendees will also learn about managing their own well being and resources available in the community to help. This is the last time this particular class will be offered at the Fillmore Senior Center.
