Among the benefits reported for seniors are improved coordination; reduced arthritis pain, joint stiffness, and high blood pressure; relief of symptoms of chronic pain, anxiety and depression; maintaining healthy bone density level and improving everyday physical functioning. Practicing tai chi also improves balance in stroke survivors. Classes are held at the Santa Paula Senior Center on Thursdays from 2:00-3:00. The fee is $32 per month.
