Sharon Ann Horn Villasenor, our original "Sweet Cheeks" passed peacefully with the love of her life, David Villasenor by her side on February 4, 2023. She was born to Robert and Helen Horn in Santa Paula California on July 25, 1949 and spent all but 2 short years of her life in the town she utterly adored, Fillmore, California.
Sharon graduated from Fillmore High School, class of 1967 and after graduating, she traveled to Oahu Hawaii for six months and stayed with her brother Bob's family returning home to attend Sawyer Business College where she met her husband of nearly 50 years, David Villasenor in 1972, they wed on July 7, 1973. Sharon worked for Frank's Cleaners and ultimately worked for herself as one of the best seamstresses in Fillmore. She was an Elvis fan, loved the Statler Brothers and was deeply devoted to her husband David and her Fillmore family. The family is touched by the outpouring of love, fond stories from the entire community of Fillmore.
Fillmore was the place Sharon loved and was a beloved administrator for over 16 years on the Fillmore Friends and Classmates facebook page for the Fillmore Alumni Association. Her daily quips, messages, reports and new member welcomes were followed by nearly 2500 members. She always started the day with a "good morning" and ended with "sweet dreams" to all -- and of course we all loved her humor and food critics!
Sharon was preceded in death by her Mom and Dad (Helen and Robert Horn) and brothers, Allen, Jim and David. In addition to her husband David, surviving siblings are Robert (Bob) and Steven Horn. Sharon will be missed deeply and more importantly she will be remembered for her big heart, her love and devotion for David, her family and the Community of Fillmore.
Rest in Peace Sweet Cheeks, you will be missed.
The family wishes to thank all of Sharon's special caregivers in the final days allowing her to pass with grace and dignity. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Fillmore Alumni Association in honor of our Sweet Cheeks. The Villasenor and Horn families will announce details of services to be held in the near future.
