Ventura, Calif. — In a powerful display of skill and teamwork, California United’s 2016 Boys team emerged victorious in the NP Elite Spring League, capping off an undefeated season with a decisive 7-0 win over MSA 2016 in the final match.
California United’s final game, held this past weekend, showcased the young team’s offensive prowess and tight-knit defense, concluding their stellar season with a flawless 8-0-0 record. From the starting whistle, California United took control of the match, asserting their dominance early on.
Noah Lira opened the scoring with a sharp finish in the early minutes, setting the tone for the game. He was quickly followed by Gera Alvarado, who doubled the lead with a powerful shot from outside the box. Before the half-time whistle, Andres Martinez added a third goal via penalty kick, giving California United a comfortable lead going into the break.
The second half saw no let-up in intensity from California United. Rex Masterson became the star of the day, striking three times to complete a hat-trick and extend the lead to an insurmountable margin. Jayden Escoto also found the back of the net, rounding off the scoring spree that left MSA 2016 struggling to respond.
