Courtesy Coach Sean Miller. Last Friday, August 23rd the Fillmore Flashes opened their season with a 42-8 win against Viewpoint high school to improve their record to 1-0. Junior DT Nick Jimenez had a huge 4 sack game, while seniors Tyler Coert and David Julian also contributed on defense. Senior Running Back Bryce Nunez rushed for 167 yards and 3 Touchdown and senior Quarter Back Jared Schieferle added 191 yards in the air with 1 Touchdown to junior Dylan Sierra. On Thursday, August 22nd the Fillmore Flashes JV defeated the Channel Island Raiders 47–0. Next week the Flashes are at home at 7pm vs. Brentwood High School. Photos courtesy Crystal Gurrola.
