Flashes Homecoming vs. Village Christian

Joseph Wilmot #35 scored on a 35 yard reception during last Friday night’s homecoming football game against Village Christian. Fillmore Varsity defeated Village Christian 35-17. Collin Farrar ran for 165 yds and one touchdown. Andrey Sanchez ran for 80 yds. Josh Valenzuela returned a punt 44 yds for a touchdown. Joseph De La Mora caused a fumble that was recovered by Jeremy Martinez and returned 34 yards for a touchdown. Fillmore Flashes JV went into their homecoming hoping to follow up last week’s strong performance with another home victory. The Flashes started the game off with a bang with a 75 yard touch down on opening kick-off by Daniel Flores (Pictured above). The Defense held Village to three first downs. The Defense was lead by Daniel Flores, Michael Castro, and Jorge Andrade, who had 2 interceptions. On Offense Hayden Wright scored two touchdowns for the Flashes. Also scoring were Michael Luna, Carlos Briseno, Damien Gonzalez, and Jorge Andrade. The Offensive line created many opportunities for the running backs all game.
