As mentioned on page 1, former FHS Cross Country runner Alianna Tapia won the California Community College Athletic Association State Meet for Moorpark College.

On Friday, May 17th, former Fillmore athlete Alianna Tapia competed at the California Community College Athletic Association State Meet held at Saddleback College Stadium in Mission Viejo.

Alianna, a sophomore at Moorpark College, qualified to run in the state meet by running the 10,000 meters race at the Southern California Prelims and Championships. This qualifying run was completed on Friday, May 10th, and Alianna placed 8th in 39:36.19.

In the state meet, Alianna improved her time, running a 39:15.76. This was a personal best time for Alianna, and a podium finish, and she was rewarded with a State Medal for her fine performance.
