Team Fillmore participates in Southern California Special Olympics

Team Fillmore participated in the 2011 Special Olympics School Games at Nordoff High School on Saturday, May 7, 2011. The students with moderate to severe disabilities competed in track events including running, walking, wheelchair, and assisted races, as well as, the tennis ball drop/throw, softball throw, and the standing long jump field events. The Fillmore team competed against other Ventura County teams. Participants for Team Fillmore and events: Michael Delgadillo: 10 m wheelchair race, tennis ball drop. Leo Magana: 50 M dash, standing long jump, Jessica Ramirez: 25M dash, tennis ball drop, Fabian Nieto: 10 M wheelchair, tennis ball throw, Nathan Palacio: 10 M wheelchair, tennis ball drop, Jose Hernandez: 25 M dash, softball throw, Kislev Valenzuela: 10 M assisted walk, tennis ball throw, Marco Cardenas: 100M dash, softball throw, Jorge Escobedo: 100M dash, softball throw, Paola Lozano: 100M dash, softball throw, Anna Maldonado: 100M dash, standing long jump, Jamie Rhett: 100M, softball throw, Brandon Sears: 100M dash, softball throw, Jessica Sears: 100M dash, softball throw, Alex Soriano: 100M dash, softball throw, Lizette Martinez: 50 M dash, standing long jump, Layiah Cook: 25 M dash, tennis ball throw.
