Terry Ray McGuire, born on July 24, 1943 in Fillmore, California, to Viola Lemons and Ray McGuire, passed away at age 74 on May 23, 2018 in Ventura, California. He graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in Social Sciences. Terry served in the United States Army and attended Officer Candidate School in Fort Lee, Virginia. As a 2nd Lieutenant he was assigned to Fort Riley, Kansas in the Quarter Master Corp, where he met United States Army officer Lieutenant Janice June Roth. They would later be married in Redlands, CA, and would eventually settle in Ventura, CA. He worked in the Liquor & Wine Industry as the Owner of Mandell's Liquor and Wine Shop for 35 years. Terry was married to and survived by Janice June McGuire. He is also survived by his son, Kevin Roth McGuire and wife Dr. Heather Renee McGuire D.P.M.; grandchildren, Addison Renee McGuire and Ewan Matthew McGuire; as well as brother Jim McGuire and wife Charlene McGuire; brother in law James Roth and wife Sharleen Roth. He was a member of Downtown Lions Club of Ventura for over 40 years. Donations are welcome and can be made in Terry's name to the Fillmore High School Alumni Association or the Ventura Missionary Church missions. Friends and family can pay their respects at a memorial service at Ventura Missionary Church on Saturday, June 16th at 11:30 a.m. at 500 High Point Drive, Ventura, California, with an off-site reception to follow.
