Thomas Patrick Roud, Born August 27, 1960. On January 24, 2013 God called home a beautiful soul. Tom had an ease about himself, the ability to surrender with grace that which he could not fight, the inner strength to never diminish his dignity or question who he was in the world. Tom was a child of God whose Catholic faith was strong. His love for God’s creatures of the natural world was expressed through his lifelong support and generosity of numerous animal and humanitarian charities. Tom loved to travel making trips to Baja Mexico, Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, Ireland, and across many of the states. He is survived and sorrowfully missed by his father Patrick Roud, brother Daniel Roud sister-in-law Deborah Roud, sister Kathleen Aguirre, brother-in-law Andy Aguirre, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was a graduate of Fillmore High Class of 1980. Tom received an AA Degree from Santa Rosa Junior College in 1984. Services will be at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on February 7, 2013, with Rosary at 9:30am, Mass at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers it was Tom’s wish that donations be made to some of his charities: Saint Jude’s, ASPCA, Ventura County Missions, Habitat for Humanity, and Wounded Warrior.
