Clearly, there have been serious attempts at infiltration. And did any of the infiltrators slip by and into the CIA? MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) — An 18-year-old man was convicted of murder in the shooting of a baby who was riding in a stroller alongside his mom in a town in coastal Georgia despite the defense's attempt to cast guilt upon several others, including the child's parents.

Jurors deliberated about two hours before finding De'Marquise Elkins guilty of 11 counts, including two counts of felony murder and one count of malice murder in the March 21 killing of 13-month-old Antonio Santiago in Brunswick. Over the last year, more than 200 black seventeen year olds were murdered in the United States. None of them were Trayvon Martin.

It is the perception of conflict and violence that drives our attention. So it comes as no surprise that politicians try to drive our attention toward issues with which they can make political points, and away from the real issues that are difficult to solve or that bring them criticism. In the White House enhanced hysteria over a Florida self-defense verdict, there has been an unsubtle shift of the conversation in precisely the wrong direction, to long standing laws and court decisions governing self-defense. Florida is a “stand your ground” state, meaning only that one part of the law of self-defense does not mandate anyone to flee an attacker. The rest of Florida’s self-defense laws allow the use deadly force, but only if otherwise legally justified. Even with the stand-your-ground component, this is far from a license to kill. There are many legal strings attached to using deadly force –in any state.

Recently, there’s been a video going around showing a heartbreaking scene — a toddler who seems to play with a group of kids only to be bullied at the encouragement of an older kid off screen. Many wondered how this could happen and where the parents of the children were in the situation and if the parents knew what happened. Now the parents are speaking out.

Over at Gatestone Institute (via RaymondIbrahim.com), I bring forth and translate the prophetic words of Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak at a recorded conference years back, and how what he said about the Muslim Brotherhood and how they manipulate the useful idiots of the media, have all come to pass. The Mubarak quote follows:

Last Friday, Christopher Lane, a 22-year-old Australian here on a baseball scholarship, was shot and killed while jogging in Duncan, Okla., population 23,000. He died where he fell.

Police have three suspects, two black and one white. The former said they were bored and decided to shoot Lane for “the fun of it.”

As Lane was white and the shooter black, racism has surfaced as a motive. Thursday came reports that killing a white man may have been an initiation rite for the black teens in joining some offshoot of the Crips or Bloods.

As Muslim Brotherhood supporters continue their jihadi rampage on Egypt’s Christian churches—several dozens have now been attacked—it’s important to remember that their hostility is not simply directed to churches, but any and every expression of Christianity, including crosses, Bible stores, and even remote monasteries. Most recently, for instance, early Thursday morning (Egyptian time), hundreds of pro-Morsi rioters set fire to the Virgin Mary Monastery, also known as Muharraq Monastery, in Quwsaya, Asyut—one of the oldest monasteries in the world, which held many ancient Coptic manuscripts, likely now all turned to ash. Its flames reached surrounding Coptic Christian homes, setting some 15 aflame.

As I relate in Crucified Again: Exposing Islam’s New War on Christians, Islamic attacks on Coptic monasteries are as old as Islam’s invasion into Egypt itself, that is, nearly 1400 years. Thus the persecution of Egypt’s indigenous, most original, inhabitants, the Christian Copts, continues unabated, in the same patterns, and in the name of Islam -- that is, in the name of the Muslim Brotherhood, which, to its automaton-like devotees, is synonymous with Islam itself.
